What to expect

What to expect during the resurfacing work

Impacts on neighbouring residents

Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of the work on local residents.

However, residents living adjacent to the areas of work may experience noise associated with the removal and relaying of the road surface.

Residents will be notified via letterbox drops at least five days before work starts in their area.

Impacts on cyclists and motorcyclists

Cyclists and motorcyclists are urged to exercise caution as the resurfacing works will create an irregular road surface at certain times.

Impacts on motorists

In most instances the resurfacing work will have only a minor impact on motorists.

Motorists may experience delays due to lane closures and traffic control measures needed for work crews to safely undertake the works.

We ask that motorists be patient during this time, and if wanting to plan their journey in advance of travel to click here for the latest updates on work locations.

Impacts on bus commuters

Motorway bus stops at the western end of the motorway – Cropley Drive and Gooden Reserve will be closed during night works. Bus commuters will be advised about these changes and any alternative arrangements ahead of time via leaflets and signage at these bus stops during the works.

Other Hills M2 bus stops will continue to operate as per normal during works.
